This is a great honour for our Association which was formed in 1992 and has been built over the years on the success of its volunteers. This recognition by the City of Joondalup shows our close working relationship with them as the award was not the decision of the Mayor or Councillors but by staff of all ranks. Independent projects such as the fence painting and the Connolly suburb entry statement signs are just a few examples of improvements to our suburb wholly funded by the Connolly Residents Association.

Our success is also due to many of our residents getting involved
with our projects, both new and on-going, such as the
Carnaby Reserve team, the many volunteers that contribute
and deliver the LINKS newsletter to everyone in the suburb
and our recent successful COMMUNITY FETE plus we
have over 280 financial members which makes us the largest
voluntary residents Association in the City of Joondalup.

I accept this award on behalf of you all and want you to
know how proud I am to be a resident of Connolly for the
30 years my wife and I have lived here.
