Earlier this year the City welcomed the news that the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recommended approval for the Ocean Reef Marina project, subject to conditions.
There is overwhelming support for this exciting and visionary project in our community, as well as across the northern corridor and outside the region.

Of 11,728 public responses to a community survey in 2009, 94% of respondents said they wanted the marina development to go ahead. 95.6% supported the concept plan at the time.

Many people have been waiting for this development for decades, and it is set to become a much sought-after tourist, business and residential location for the residents of Joondalup, the northern corridor of Perth and Western Australia as a whole.

The City remains committed to working with LandCorp, government agencies and all stakeholders to progress this project to a stage where ground can be broken which is late 2020.
