Association Rules Part 2 – Objects and Purposes

  1. Objects and Purposes
    1. To provide a means of communication between residents of Connolly and institutional members, groups and bodies who legislate, represent and influence life in the locality of Connolly.
    2. To analyse community needs and encourage the development and maintenance of public facilities and services in the locality of Connolly.
    3. To provide a forum for public opinion in Connolly.
    4. To provide a communication network between residents in Connolly.
    5. To encourage local pride and involvement in community activities.
  2. Not-for-profit body
    1. The property and income of the Association must be applied solely towards the promotion of the objects or purposes of the Association and no part of that property or income may be paid or otherwise distributed, directly or indirectly, to any member, except in good faith in the promotion of those objects or purposes.
    2. A payment may be made to a member out of the funds of the Association only if it is authorised under subrule (3).
    3. A payment to a member out of the funds of the Association is authorised if it is —
      1. the payment in good faith to the member as reasonable remuneration for any services provided to the Association, or for goods supplied to the Association, in the ordinary course of business; or
      2. the reimbursement of reasonable expenses properly incurred by the member on behalf of the Association.
